    its definitely not mandatory to get a phd. but i dont know
    any reason why any law firm would want you with a b.s when so
    many phds are ready to work with them, secondly, i the
    grapevine goes that electrical , mech and other fields a m.s.
    degree suffices but for biotech a ph.d. is slowly becoming an
    absolute must
