Dear William,
Fist of all, contact the U.S. Patent office in Washington. Actually, I think it is in Arlington, VA, just across the river from Washington. However, if you write to it, just say Washington, D.C. and the letter will get to the Patent Office. Ask them to send you any information and forms they have for resistereing a patent. Also, while you are awaiting a reply, contact the law firm of Jacobson and O'Brien in Washington, and they will send you a very nice booklet about how to get a patent. Tell them I recommended you to them. Also, I am sure the U.S. Patent Office has a web-site. Go on your search engine and look it up and see what you can learn. You may be able to contact the Patent Office directly via the web-site. Best of luck! Sinerely, Hardy Parkerson, Atty.
