    1.If your Bachelors of Science in Information Technology
    does not satisfy the USPTO degee requirements, you can still
    qualify to take the patent bar by taking additional hard
    science courses, but this may require another 2 years of
    school work. Even if you did pass the patent bar, most
    patent law firms are very specific in the type of
    undergraduate degrees they are looking for, and I am not
    sure that Information Technology is one of them.

    2.An IP attorney is an attorney practicing intellectual
    property, which includes patent, copyright and trademark.
    You only need to pass the patent bar for patent work,
    specifically patent prosecution work. You can practice
    patent litigation work without the patent bar. Also, of
    course you can do copyright or trademark work without the
    patent bar.

    3. You degree would probably best fit into the general IP
    area.
