    It is not completely unfounded. Certainly there have been some
    well publicized swallowings up of some large boutiques. What has
    happened in some cases is that a big IP firm attracts away the
    rain makers who bring in the big IP litigation dollars, leaving
    only the prosecution work can't support a large boutique.

    I think the jury is still out on whether IP boutiques are doomed.
    I'd suggest that a GP firm is not for everyone.
