Just out of self interest, why pick the rap/hip-hop genre?
Wouldn't you be a better artist to choose a genre that more
people with money will pay to hear you perform? Like rock, or
country? Very few rap/hip-hop acts make it past the second
release, and after three years they vanish into thin air. At
least with rock acts the touring and sales continue for
decades.
