Post: Conversion courses to become leaglly recognised in the US

I am almost qualified as a South African patent attorney. I have completed a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) and the law board exams for admittance, but still have to be admitted as an attorney in South Africa. I have almost finished all the South African Patent Board examinations (only 1 exams left), and have about three and a half years experience working as an articled clerk, drafting patent specifications for mechanical, e- commerce and electronic type inventions, technology licensing, filing of designs, giving advice on copyright etc. I am interested in working in the United States or the United Kingdom once I have qualified fully here. I would like to know if there are conversion courses to be able to practice as a patent attorney in the United States/UK, and if it is possible to complete these by correspondence in the meantime? Also, can anyone reccomend a good job-search website for IP attorneys? Thanks
