No direct experience. But the argument is unlikely to work.
No credit of any kind is given for an advanced degree other
than counting the coursework towards the Part B requirements.
Most likely you do not qualify for either category A or
category B.
Your choice of undergraduate degree is rearing its head here.
Obviously I haven't seen your transcripts, but it seems to me
that your options are:
1) Take some qualifying course work at a college/university.
Some community colleges may offer suitable work, but be
careful about taking courses that are not as rigorous as
typical BS/BA work.
2) Attempt to pass the EIT exam. Most states have extensive
education requirements similar to those of the PTO, but a few
states (like Michigan) apparently allow anyone to take the
exam. The exam would not be easy for someone without an
engineering degree.
3) Try to convince the PTO that you have the equivalent
education, experience etc as category A or category B qualifiers.
