Re: M.D. eligible to sit for PTO exam?

Posted by patent agent on 3/02/04

I have a BA in Zoology, an MA in Bacteriology and Immunology,
and a Ph.D in Cell Sciences.

The PTO would not accept these degrees as filling their
    section B requirements.

I had to get course descriptions for each of my course,
provide the transcrpts for all courses before they were
convinced that I had the technical requirements.

The process took over a year.

    They are strict!

Also, you must have the requisite units in chemistry, physics
and biology. I think that the requirements are in excess of
what the standard pre-med requirements are.

    All the best.
