my mother-in-law has been in a nursing home for 3 yrs.
prior to her admission, i paid many bills for her, out of
my company account. i submitted all proof of payment,
invoices, etc. to my lawyer. he tells me that the statute
of limitations has expired even though all my claims are
legitimate. i live in pennsylvania, and so did my mother
in law until her daughter put her in a nursing home in
delaware. her house in pa was just sold, but it has not
yet gone to settlement. in de, the statute of limitations
is 3 years, but in pa the statute is 4 years. the amount
of debt is $ 2200. do i have any chance of recovering this?
also, the estate is worth $ 700,000 to a million.
