    The point was that once you agree to use someone non local, business
    reasons might make you chose India rather than a distant, domestic
    patent attorney. The price in India is going to be cheaper and you
    don't get the advantages of using a local person in either case.
    Why woud people who are outsourcing manufacturing and engineering
    work hesitate to outsource their IP work?

    I have the same stake in the debate as you, but a sense of
    partriotism and national pride does not seem to make a difference
    with outsource IT work, engineering, or manufacturing.
