Re: website illustrations & copyright

Well, it's copyright but most people don't bother
registering them and paying the bucks.
However the Digital Millenium Copyright Act offers some
protection. I sell on ebay and I had a beef with some people
using my text ala cut and paste. One person removed it
immediately when I emailed them. The other person gave me
a "get over it, a**hole" answer. I contacted ebay and they
send out a nastygram in conformance with the DMCA that's
very informative. Take the time and check it out. Needless
to say the guy had his auction scrubbed in 12 hours because
the website host of infringing material has a lot of
exposure.
