Post: Career change to patent agent/attorney?
Posted by Angela on 12/06/08
I am considering applying for a technical advisor position at a firm which would pay for me to go to law school and work part time. The pay would be signifcantly more than I make now (112k for full time vs. 70k); however, I'm concerned because I have 2 kids (4.5 years and 6 months) and am wondering just how bad the hours would be? At the firm, it seems they work about 10 hours/day and not weekends. But the law school/work combo sounds very difficult and I'm wondering if it's manageable and worth it. Does anyone have an advice or related experience? Thanks!
