    It need not be an either/or question. Do your PhD and your JD
    at the same time. This should not be taken to mean one must
    do both 100% at the same time but only that one can take a
    law course every semester while working on one's PhD and so
    by the time you're done with your PhD, you're also done with
    a good part of your JD.
