Post: Moving out/what can I not say to prospective tenants?

I'm moving out at the end of this month. We told our landlord over 2 months ago. He called today and was extremely rude, and said that he's showing the apartment while I'm gone at work tomorrow. Basically, I'm curious if, while he's showing the place, I'm allowed to tell the people looking at the apartment that I'm moving out because of the noisy neighbors downstairs. When I spoke to him, I said I was concerned because when he had a guy come fix our plumbing, I specifically asked to keep the doors closed while I wasn't home so our cat would not escape. The doors were wide open when I came home (luckily my cat didn't run away). I told him this today, and he said "So what? I'm not a maintenance guy. I'm XX XX and I'm the home owner." It almost made me wonder if he was recording the conversation. He spoke very strangely and was extremely rude. So basically I was able to work from home, but I'm wondering if I'm allowed to tell the people looking at the apartment why I'm moving out? Is this illegal to tell them the truth about why I'm moving out (if I know it would make them not want to move in)?
