Hopefully someone can help: I rented an apartment with
someone I didnt know, and my boyfriend stayed with me a lot,
but he had his own place. My roommate is now trying to sue
me stating that I was fraudulently subletting the apartment.
My roommate also stated that she was very uncomfortable with
my boyfriend staying there a lot, but never communicated
this to me until I received the certified letter 2 days
after she moved out. She also never paid he half of the
bills, and the cable was even shut off once, and the
electric bill was also always late. Please advise whether
she has a leg to stand on. My boyfriend has all his cleared
checks for rent and for utilities along with a written
letter from one of his roommates stating that he had a bed,
clothes, ect. and paid rent.
