I am being evicted for nonpayment of rent. A default has
already been filed. Simply put, like a lot of people
these days, I fell behind because I lost my job. I don't
want to leave my apartment and if I had just a little more
time, I could come up with the money.

My question is, could I file a motion to stay the
execution of the writ of possession to buy some time. If
so, what should I put on the motion to convince a judge to
consider it.

I'm down and out but I am going to keep fighting until the
end.
