Post: Garage Conversion for Personal Use

Posted by David on 1/12/09
I have a house in the City of Los Angeles and recently converted my garage (without permits) into a TV room, storage room, and bathroom with shower. I use it for personal use and don't rent it out. If a city inspector came by, could I be fined and/or forced to convert it back? Does it matter that its just for me?
