Post: are multiple leasees equally liable?

Posted by Julia on 1/15/09

At the end of february 2008 i signed a year long lease
agreement with four other people. All signed tenants are
obligated to pay all of the utilities as stated in the lease
agreement. three months ago two of the roomates moved out.
They are claiming that they will still pay rent, but wont
pay any utilities. Do I a) have any legal rights to having
them pay me utilities since they are all in my name, or b)
does my landlord have any right to note that they breached
their contract and diminish their renter's history?
