So I recently moved into a home in Rockingham NC. Upon
moving in nothing was fixed that the owner of the home said
would be fixed,they have been piling and burying trash in
the back yard for atleast several months, ( matresses,
pots, pans, food, magazines ect..) Several problems were
found that the owner HAD to have known about and was not
forthcoming about. i.e. the electrical wiring in the house
is bad, the wires behind the circuit breaker spark, the
floor in the laundry room moves up and down, theres a water
leak under the home, there are exposed wires out of a
socket upstairs. There are several others issues with this
house. I do not feel it is safe for my two children to be
in the home. What are my legal rights as far as leaving
asap and getting my deposit??
