We have just moved into an apartment this past june in
Northeastern PA. We have Black Mold in the kitchen and
bathroom, and it is under the floors and behind the lower
kitchen cabinets. It isn't just a little bit....It is alot.
My husband and I have both spoken to the landlord, and he
says we should just spray it with bleach. Even if this
would work, we would have to remove the whole shower wall
in the bathroom, and all of the lower cabinets in the
kitchen to get to where the mold is. Does anyone know our
rights where this is concerned? We have small children, and
we all have allergies which have not stopped flaring up
since we moved in. And the smell when the weather is hot
and humid is horrible. We cant even use the kitchen
cabinets to put stuff into, and have the doors tied shut so
the baby doesnt get into them.
