Post: Tenant Declares Bankruptcy

Posted by Don Justham on 8/30/06
Hi, I own a commercial building in Florida. I signed a renter to a five year lease and found out the other day that he had declared bankruptcy. He owes for one months rent and is only in the first year of the five year lease. Is there anything I can do through the court system for the one months rent or for the rest of the lease (four years) and is it worth it once I pay for the attorneys fees. Basicly what can I pursue legally and is it more costly to pursue it than what it is worth? Thanks
