Post: Quiet Time or constructive eviction

Posted by annette on 11/16/06
I live in an apartment complex with several children in the surrounding apartments. Due to the fact my roomate works lot around the early morning & I work swing shift, our sleeping habits vary from the norm. I have complaind to the lease office about all the noise during the day & at night. I told them also the children were running in the parking lot located in front of the apartment around the cars. Note my bedroom faced the parking lot. Man agement said they were allowed to play in the parking lot but not around the cars. We are suppose to be quiet when we get up or come home at all hours of the night but what about our quiet time? We pay rent & should have the same respect. New neighbors moved in next door with 3 children & all they do is run in there hallway & stairs. I spoke with there mother & it still continues. Due to all the noise & little sleep it is interferring with our jobs. Any adv ice will help
