Here is the scoop.

I first moved into this one bedroom apt with my girlfriend
8 months ago, on a 6 month lease... Upon the landlord
showing us the place, I had mentioned a few things that I
would like fixed. E.G. Holes in the window screens, bath
tub facuet leaking... She had stated, she was in the
process of fixing the place up, and or would fix any
problems with the place.

After a week or so nothing was fixed, I kept calling her
(leaving messages) and talked to her a few times.. She
kept delaying the days in which these problems would be
fixed... Finally I decided to take pictures of the place
for evidence. Just incase she tried to say my girlfriend
or I had caused this "damage"... Weeks go by, we find out
the fridge no longer functions, but in the lease it states
appliances are a curtisy item and shes not responsible for
them.

When we had moved in I had asked her if the stove and
fridge worked well, since i did notice the appliances
where a "curtosy item" on the lease... She had informed me
the fridge was like new. I later found out (few days ago)
when talking to my downstair neibors the previous tenant
had to use thier fridge to keep his food
cold**************

Anyway nothing was getting fixed she acted as if she
didn't care, and more problems came up. Clogged drains, no
heat you name it.. Five months and some odd days go by
nothing had been done... My girlfriend, and i decided to
stop living togather...

I didn't have the money at the time to move I spoke with
the landlord once again and told her somthing along the
lines. "If you don't fix these problems I will not sign
another 6 month lease". She immediatly started making
promises and called someone to check out the fridge... A
man came out to check it and stated it would be around
$100.00 to fix. So i called her up and told her. She wrote
out a check for $100.00. so i signed another lease based
on the fact she seemed to be wanting to fix the problems.

A few days go by and the man is supposed to come back
out.. he never shows... I call her and ask her to call him
and ask him why he didn't come out... A week goes by and I
can't even get in touch with her...

Long story..

Anyway.
Just a month or so ago a hail storm hit and there was
massive damage to peoples homes, cars etc...

Just a few days ago my roof comes down, I'm woke up by the
stove timer going off as the fallen plaster had triggered
it... I immediatly get dressed and go to my landlords home
which is located right behind me. I tell her what had
happened, she didn't seem to care one BIT!!! I explained
to her the place is a mess and it's a rather big deal...
She tells me to hold on one second and i do.. Next thing i
know she has a shop vac in her hands and tells me i can
borrow it to clean up... She did not EVEN COME UP TO LOOK
AT THE DAMAGE... I asked her if she'd call her insurance
company... She told me she would have her dad come and
look at it the next day...

I just leave frustrated.. I start cleaning the place as
I'm almost finished more of the plaster comes falling
down... So myfriends I started looking around on the net
to find information about landlords etc.. I also went to
the downstairs neibors home and asked if they had any
water damage etc.. to my surprise thier kitchen floor
tiles are coming up!! They had told her about this problem
approx 5 months ago...

The next day I call her to see when her "father" will be
coming to look at it... I can't contact her.. A day later
she tells me the insurance company is coming out and will
look at it.. They do indeed...

Right now I'm in a home with mold all over my roof keeps
falling and I'm getting no responce from the landlord or
insurance, I have no other place to go right now and have
little money... Since the roof has came down I notice I've
been having more headaches, coughing and just feeling
plain sick... (i have been since i moved in but it's much
worse now. I wanted to ask WHAT SHOULD I DO?

I was very tired/feeling sick when i made the video so
please dont mind some of the terms used... I did notice
the walls looked like hell etc.. but i figured it was from
old damge but the more i looked at it the more it seemed
she had known of this problem and didn't address it before
we had moved in... Anyway here is the video

information on what i can do here, I'm very lost.. I have
about 2 months left on the lease. The landlord left me a
message saying, we can work something out to terminate the
lease early, she also says she "tried to fix everything,
and go by everything in the lease"... Right now my roof is
still coming down little by little and my kitchen is a
mess HELP?!?!?
