Post: tenant not paying rent first month

Posted by kb on 9/17/07
We purchased a new home in GA and just got a tenant from a property management company. The first month's rent was due and the check bounced. It does not appear that the tenant will pay the rent or ever intended to do so. Rather than going through a long eviction process I plan to change the locks and put their furniture in storage. I realize this is not the correct procedure but what they are doing is a criminal act. There are no children involved. Your thoughts please... Thanks!
