Post: Renting out each room

Posted by mlk on 10/19/07

This is in California, San Francisco. I have a 2-bedroom
unit. I have been renting a room per person (Tenant A and
Tenant B). Tenant A and Tenant B each pay me separately
for their room. They each have their own room and
bathroom, but they share the common areas such as the
kitchen and living room. Now, one of the guys (Tenant A)
is leaving, so I'm trying to find a person to fill Tenant
    A's room.

By law, if I find someone good to fill Tenant A's room, do
I need to get agreement/approval from Tenant B before I
can rent to that person? Please advise, thanks!
