I rented an apartment in las vegas, nv and i was a few
days late on my rent so my landlord automatically got the
constable after me. they posted a pay or quit noticed. I
gave them a check for 165 dollars and then it bounced
which i never meant it to. nov 9th i paid my landlord 370
dollars in a money order and my rent is 475 which is the
balance is of 165 that my check bounced. they told me
they are throwing me out on the 14th of nov and not giving
me my money back. i told the landlord i was going to give
him my whole paycheck for 165 i owe and dec rent on nov 23
but he said no to the 165 and they wanna it by wednesday
or they are locking me out. im new to nevada and their
laws are little funny in this city so i was wondering if
anyone knew las vegas law and what my rights were. They
have 370 dollars of my money and i only owe 105 dollars.
