Re: Non-Bar Programs - Breyer State Univ.-AL online JD degree
Posted by JF on 3/16/08

    Dear Thom:

Thank you for your last response to my posting. I am responding to you on
the belief that you are genuinely concerned about diploma mills and
students being dupe out of their money. I mean you no disrespect to you in
any way by my response to your comments.

1st- You haven't gone to any law school, even DL law school as you stated
    in your previous post.

2nd- You haven't experienced Breyer State University Law School first hand.
You have not experienced Breyer's courses, faculty or administration, you
haven't dealt with them at all.

3rd- You want to compare Lasalle University a "proven" diploma mill and
their convicted president to Breyer State University ans its president who
aren't in the same catagory. Otherwise the government would have shut them
down already. Like the government has done with so many "fake" schools.

4th- You site a website that list peoples "opinions, impressions and
perceptions". These folks don't say they were students at BSU or that they
were robbed of their money or that they bought a diploma. What they say
is " I don't like BSU cause I've done my "research" ,xwz....

5th- Take note that even on the official websites of some state
(Oregon,Texas and Maine)governments they don't dare say Breyer State
University is a "diploma mill". What they say is that BSU degrees don't
meet their criteria for licensing and that and that "any" school that is
not Regionally, Nationally or Oregon State/Texas approved" is not welcomed
    for use in the state.

6th- Even Oregon State which appears to be the most fervent against
unaccredited schools like Breyer State U and others, only says
that "Breyer State University" is not a state school, this is the only
negative statement Oregon can make about Breyer State U. But Oregon does
not call Breyer State a "diploma mill". Because Oregon knows it would be
    sued and it would lose.

7th- What Oregon and Texas have done is de-value and even criminalize the
use of any DL or traditional school degree that is not accreditted by an
agency recognized by the US Dept of Education . I hate to say it but that
puts 8 out 10 California online law schools and hundreds of traditional
institutions all across the US into this category.

Thom surely in your decades of research you've discovered what I am saying
is correct. I'm sure you are not purposefully trying to "slander" Breyer
State University, its president or its students. Even the State of Oregon
is very careful not to "slander" schools and people.

Please if you want to be able to give an opinion about any educational
institution, public, private, non-profit or for-profit, accredited or not,
take some classes at that school first and then you can speak
    authoritatively and honestly.

I re-state, in my experience and to the best of my knowledge Breyer State
University students earn their degrees. We don't buy our degrees and BSU
does not offer to sell students the degrees. BSU students work hard, take
test and put in their time to complete the degree programs.

Thom, best of luck to you. JF
