Re: Breyer State University - AL non-bar J.D. degree
Posted by JF on 3/18/08

    Dear Judy:

Thomas or Thom as he calls himself, is not be right on this one.
I checked the website you cited " Diploma Mill News" , I googled it and went to the
site. Its a excellent website, that mentions tons of diploma mills and fake schools.

What it does not do is mention "Breyer State University" in any article or report
    any where on their website.

I did note that one school previously unaccredited and formally referred to as a
diploma mill is now accreditted by DETC, that would be California Coast University,
    accredited by DETC in 2005.

I also saw a humerous article about a cat named Nolan who recieved a Phd from a
degree mill. I thought that was cute, but not funny.

However no where on the website is Breyer State University even mentioned by
    refference or in comparison.

In you last post you say..." Even if it't not true (you reffer to Breyer U), would
anyone want a degree from a school with this reputation? You dear, hit the nail on
    the head.

Breyer State University has recieved a bad rap, its reputation has been harmed by
irresponsible people on the web saying negative things that are not true.

Now that some state governments(Oregon,Texas,Maine) have said that Breyer State
University degrees do not meet their criteria for professional licensure, thats true
or that they don't accept a BSU degree because they are not regionally or nationally
accredited, this is true. These states also don't like the fact that BSU's name is
to "official" sounding. But even these state governments(Oregon,Texas,Maine) won't
dare call Breyer State U a diploma mill.

Again I re-state if we were to apply the same criteria that Oregon State has applied
to BSU, then 8 out of 10 California DL online law schools would fall into the same
    category.

Personally I know BSU students work for their grades and take their courses to earn
their degrees. No one has yet offered to sell me my degree from Breyer State
University. I am earning my BSU degree. JF
