Re: Non-Bar Programs Dead?
Posted by Tom on 4/24/08

The Californis Bar has not killed the non-bar program for
good,, there is too much money to be made by those schools
and left in California. If you go to the Cal Bar site and
read what they are doing you will see that one of the main
problems is what to call a non-bar grad. A" NON -Bar-JD" is
too confusing with a real "JD".
They should soon make some decisions.
Further, Please look at the testing held at Concord, NWCU,
and the others compaired to Breyer and you will see a GREAT
difference. A LOT of money is made from the requirement of
the baby bar exams and other areas where everyone who is
sold on the idea of," study 20 hours a week and you can be a
lawyer" ( Concord starts off with that advertising line and
requires $600.00 a month) pulls in money.
As a 55 year old Successful businessman with a BS from a
MAJOR University. And wanting to know the law, and wanting a
planed learning sceme (and wanting JD on my business card,
and too old to clerk,, and not needing to impress
people,,and after a year at a California school,,I am going
to Breyer,, cause that is all I need. Everyone else needs to
do what they need to do for themselves.
Ask questions, take notes, Think, ask more questions

    My Best

    Tom
