    Hi Steve,

    Greetings fellow CalBear..

    The California School of Law does not offer non-bar track. Only a JD
    that qualifies to sit for the Cal bar exam. To be honest with you, I
    would never take a non-bar track program. Why do it? Its watered
    down and does not let you sit to become an attorney. Unless you have
    graduated from an ABA approved or California accredited law school,
    non-accredited schools are only worthwhile if you actually pass the
    Cal bar exam. Its your license that gives you credibility.
    Otherwise just go to a first or second tier ABA school if you are
    looking for a resume enhancer. If you want to bone up on legal
    analysis, just study books with study aids on your own. Otherwise go
    for a JD only. I chose the Cal. School of Law because it mirrors in
    class socratic method teaching, where a professor explains the law
    and you can hone your own analysis by speaking and hearing legal
    argumentation. I would not do law school without this training. I
    seriously thought about ABA law school. IT IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT.
    Take the LSAT and do it if you can. The training you receive is
    invaluable, because you are immersed in law for 3 years. But the Cal
    School of Law was my second choice, because of the cost differential
    and the flexibility of being in class no matter what my location. I
    was traveling for three weeks and was able to log into class and be
    hammered by the prof. in Hawaii. Cant beat this flexability. I am
    not sorry I chose this route. I would do ABA or this program only.
    I chose this program because I am not a Law firm applicant when I
    graduate. If I was looking for a job after graduation, I would be in
    a top tier ABA law school. Conclusion: Don't even consider a non-
    bar program.. no matter what.
