Re: Can I take the California Bar with my Online JD from No
Posted by pipedream broken on 9/10/08
Currently all ABA online LLM programs are specific, taxation or intellectual property degree programs. 1) Alot will not accept non bar qualifying JD degrees such as from Novus since it doesnt qualify for the California bar. 2) There is no way that an online LLM degree program from an ABA law school will allow one to take 26 units in JD classes. aint gonna happen. In fact the FEW ABA law schools currently offering LLM degrees online DO NOT ALLOW THE STUDENT TO TAKE ANY JD CLASSES ONLINE. those online courses are restricted to LLM courses only. You can buy a book, get hearsay information and of course hear what you want to hear but IT CAN NOT BE DONE ! These ABA schools follow the ABA model which is no bar qualifying JD courses online.
