Re: It's Over for West Coast - Official Notice

Actually, my hard work at WCSL was not wasted. I lost three months of study, but got credit for two years before transferring to one of the better DL law schools in late December. I got out just in time. I had my study evaluated by the state bar and the new school took my two years. All things being equal, I can take the General bar in February 2011. I actually saw the writing on the wall and got most of my tuition from WCSL back for 3L. I got out before the ship sank--- I knew what was going on. I feel bad for the other students who didn't even know about it. I actually think WCSL was a great program. I am sorry the bar didn't think so, but the dean didn't follow the rules. Thomas Jefferson said that "We are a nation of laws, not of men." I wish the dean the best, but he did not communicate to students that the school was under any type of scrutiny from the state bar. In fact, I learned about the non-compliance from another poster on this site two months after the dean received notice from the state bar. This site saved me a lot of time and quite a bit of money. As annoying as some of the lurkers are on this site, there is some great information here. The dean did a great service to the students at WCSL and is to be commended for it. I appreciate his efforts. Haven't really had time to post with working 60 hours a week, spending time with my family, and spending between 20-30 hours each week studying for exams/the bar. I am here, though, and do watch this board often. I hope that if anything positive does come from all of this, it is that distance learning law schools will finally get the respect they deserve. Gotta go work on my legal outlines now. Good night.
