Re: West Coast & DL Law Schools Should Change Focus

All I'm saying is that even within the CA State Bar rules an
unregistered law school can exist. The rules clearly state the the bar
will not regulate "undergraduate legal degrees or paralegal programs".

A DL Law school registers with the CA Bar to be able to have their
students eligible to take the baby bar. If the school has no interest
in that, or awarding any of the professional degrees listed in the CA
State bar rules then the CA State bar is not its regulating authority.

WCSL or any other correspondence law school may be able to provide law
training to students that does not lead to a juris doctor degree or
    other professional degree.
There a many unregistered and unacreditted schools, institutes,
graduate schools, career training colleges in CA already teaching law
subject classes. The CA State bar does not interfere with them.

Further the notice sent to WCSL by the State bar dated feb 3, 2009
tell it that its registered status is terminated but does not instruct
WCSL to cease its instruction of students. And as you can see WCSL has
already started an undergraduate legal degree program "substantially
similar" to the course of study of their former Juris Doctor program.
WCSL can teach law classes but these cant lead to professional law
degree that is listed in the State Bar rules.
