DETC accreditation allows a school to charge more because
they are now "accredited." As evidenced by Taft and
Concord which are charging a lot of money for their
programs. Before accreditation, Taft was on the expensive
side, but still a good school; however, after DETC
accreditation, their tutiion sky rocketed. Concord is near
$10,000 a year. Incredible for a school that has no CA bar
or WASC accreditation. In my opinion, it is a rip off for
students. It benefits the school much more than the
student.
