I am about to apply for the moral character application in
California .

I am currently employed within a government agency. I
applied for another position within the same government
agency related to law enforcement. I was rejected because
the department felt I was not fit to carry a handgun.
Therefore, I transferred back to my same position within
the same agency.

Do I have to disclose this. The moral application ask about
my current employment. I am still employed with the same
employer, therefore, it appears I do not have to disclose
this. Why disclose more than I should. What are your
thoughts on this?
