Post: Vop on a charge that no one can find
Posted by bb on 6/11/13
My husband got into some trouble a few years ago and was
placed on probation for a worthless check for under $150.
He made the payments and we thought everything was finished
with it because we have not been contacted by the probation
office about anything, and they were always on top of
calling him and letting him know what was going on. Well
due to some family issues he was arrested again on other
charges and was put on probation again.
He was arrested again on Saturday because of an outstanding
2 year old warrant from that worthless check charge. He has
been seeing the new probation officer for the enitre time
and was never told about the warrant. I have gone to the
clerks office to print out a copy of his charges and the
worthless check charge is not there. I then had my mom ask
one of her co workers who is a family lawyer look and they
could not find the charge either.
They violated his probation for the worthless check and
gave him a bond, but then also violated his probation for
the other charges and wont give him a bond. He was not
charged with anything new, just had his name ran by the
police because he was at a friends house when some drama
happened and the police ran every ones name.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
