First, before you go running off half-cocked to the state bar
with your complaint: Read your contract with your attorney.
His/her billings terms are (or should be) spelled out in your
contract.
Second, disputes between the attorney-client regarding most, if
not all usual disputes that arise duriggn the course of the
attorney-client relationship, are almost always addressed in
your contract. Read your contract.
Third, the qualificationa and/or experience of any paralegal
having nothing whatsoever to do with your question as to whether
or not your attorney might have overbilled you.
Fourth: Focus on the issue. Did both you our attorney abide by
the terms of the contract you have with your attorney? If yes,
you have no beef. If not, what is the resoltuion, and is the
process for resolving any dispute within the four corners of
your contract with your attorney?
Geeze, Louise, first things first! Read your contract!
