Post: AL: attempt mail fraud/ identity theft

Posted by Krista on 7/31/08

To make a long story short, I just moved to a neighborhood
there was not a mailbox, so I bought one. I called the
post office to let them know I would be putting one out
there she got my name then proceeds to tell me that
someone called saying they where my mom that same morning
trying to send my mail to their p.o. box. I got a call
from a federal agent, he starts telling me what the person
looks like etc. then tells me their address and it's the
people across the street from me. This is still an
ongoing case, I'm wondering can I sue this lady. The fed
says he is still watching her etc. But if she doesn't try
anything else what are my rights? Can I sue her ?

none
