Post: WANTED - Paralegal / Research Volunteer Position!

Posted by Sandra, clericalconnection@yahoo.com, on 12/22/01
I will graduate in the Spring 02, Pre-Law, with a minor
Paralegal Studies. I'm currently working full time for a
law enforcement agency in Louisiana and desire to gain a
complete understanding of legal research, specifically the
use of Lexis Nexis.
Rules & Regs of my present job will not allow me to
volunteer at local firms...so I would like to volunteer as
a home-based paralegal/researcher for attorneys OUTSIDE of
the Central Louisiana area.
SKILLS I CAN OFFER: My typing speed is 93 wpm, I'm
experienced in transcribing (some) pleadings,
correspondence, depositions, trials, criminal
investigations. I have acess to internet via cable modem
for researching.
SKILLS I'D LIKE TO GAIN FROM VOLUNTEERING: Knowlege of
Lexis Nexis and other research methods.
TERMS: I can volunteer a maximum of TEN HOURS per week for
an initial THREE MONTH period. I ask that *if* you're
pleased with my work, you provide me with a short
recommendation to that effect after the three month
period. Resume submitted upon request.
Thanks!
