I went through a very similar case but I myself had to move to NC due to my ex husbands violence. I had to become a legal resident that took 6 months then they have a law you have to wait a year to file for divorce after you seperate. I hired a attorney and the process began. I let my ex see our son for my childs sake and he took him back to texas. My attorney got tje judge to file emergency tempory custody of my son and off to texas I went to get him I told my attorney by mistake the wrong county he lived in so when i went to the police dept. for their assistance they would not help me due to the fact of wrong county on papers.Well I had travled 900 miles I wanted my son back so I stoled him back of course my ex caught up with me again and it has been 8 yrs of h_ _ L he now has my son and im searching for a attorney in the Orange or jefferson county area of texas.I wish your daughter the best of luck and my prayers are with her.Theresa in NC
