    Post: Resignation

Posted by Gwen Washington, gwendolynwashington187@msn.com, on 8/17/02

My direct supervisor lied about a direction she had given
me, which resulted in a displinary action. When she
recanted her story to HR, she said the director of the
department was aware of her untruth but told her to conceal
it. Consequently, our working relationship deterorated as
I asked HR to investigate her original untruth. She began
a campaign of to manage me out by accusing me of lying on
my timesheets, comparing my after work hours to before I
had the responsibility of caring for two small children.
The director began checking my timesheets and taking time
away from my accumulated vacation time because of his
miscaluations. Once investigated, he repaid me for it. I
have never had any previous violations and reprimands for
any such of the like. My supervisor is personal friends
with our team, when they have the weekly lunch, they return
late, when team members go on vacations, they bring her
gifts, she is paid by them for sewing jobs she performs and
things like that. Unemployment says I don't qualify
because did not show the job was made unsuitable, what does
that mean? And do you think, I am entitled to any unemp
compensations and if so, how can I go about showing
adequate proof? I feel I was forced to resign.
