Post: Workmans Comp in VA

I am a self-employed writer/director/performer/educator during the school year. This past Aug. I was hired for 1 week as a Program Director for a summer camp for the salary of $140.00. During my work at the camp, I injuried my knee in a camp related activity and the injury will require surgery. The summer camp's insurance will pay the medical bills and reimburse me for lost wages, yet the weekly wage they will pay me is based on my salary of $140.00. The work I do throughout the school year, which I will be unable to do because of the surgery, brings me a weekly wage average of $510.00. Since both the camp work and my other work throughout the year are very similar, is there any way to get my weekly lost wage from workmans comp to be based on my yearly weekly average ($510.00) instead of my salary as Program Director for that week ($140.00). Thanks for an insight
