Post: Car Repo

Posted by Trina, TrinaS41@go.com, on 11/19/02
My daughters car was reposessed. Here's the scoop. Her husband went into the car lot last week and asked how much was owed at that point, the dealer said $300.00. So, he gave him $200 then owing $100.00. Then this Sunday night, they came and picked up the car, including her personal possessions such as money her husband had given her to live on for the week he was gone to deer camp, and her two baby car seats, and other various personal items. She's not so concerned about getting the car back, but can the dealership legally keep her personal belongings? Can they reposess on Sunday, and since they took the $200 as a payment, can they legally repossess the car? Any help is appreciated. Thanks
