Post: L@@K at this! Who's property is it anyway??

Posted by Sean, SavNout@hotmail.com, on 9/26/00

    Here's the story. I live in Mississippi. I had a 1994
Camaro Z28 which I sold in order to get my house. The guy I
sold it to turned around and sold it 2 days later to
another guy who destroyed the title by washing it in the
washing machine. The title is still in my name legaly. Well
months have gone by and I get this letter from the state of
Tennesse which states 'We have your property and it is
going to be auctioned off if you don't reply in 30 days.'.
It appears the the kid who bought the car off of the guy I
sold it to got arrested for DRUG TRAFFICING and the car was
seized by the state of TN.
Legaly I guess the car is still in my name since the other
    owners never filed the title.
My question is...If I try and get the car back will they
try and charge me with some drug crime, because the car was
    still titled in my name.
I hate to see the state auction off the car for there own
good. It would be great if I could get it back, but I don't
want to be involved with any drug crime!
