TRANSCRIPTION OF AUDIO & VIDEO TAPES:
I recently had need for transcription of both
audio and video tapes in a criminal matter, only to learn
to my surprise that our local court reporters do not
accept nor do they like transcribing audio or video tapes.
After timely and lengthy search, we located Fresno
Legal Transcription, who provided us with both
expeditious, accurate and great service.
We requested references and were promptly provided
same.
I should also add that two of the tapes that had
to be transcribed were the proverbial “tapes from hell”,
which had such a loud humming sound, as well as a high
pitched whistle and low volume of the speakers. (This was
an interrogation in a criminal matter, and the tape was
crucial.) Fresno Legal Transcription, even though they
were across country, managed to provide us with what we
needed, even before we required it! (Tapes and
transcripts were sent by U.S. Postal Service Priority Mail
with Delivery Confirmation). I also learned that they
provide this service to law firms around the country, as
well as transcription of administrative hearings and
journalists, reporters, etc., as well as sub-contracting
to court reporters.
I was very impressed and satisfied and strongly
suggest that should any other attorneys, law firms,
investigators or public entities require transcribing of
audio or video tapes contact them. All transcripts were
certified. (Also, I should note that our audio tapes were
on both standard and micro cassette tapes.)

In addition to the great service, their rate was
MUCH CHEAPER than CSR’s!! About $2.50 per page. (I say
about because they have a rate of $14 per hour plus $1 per
page, but at the end, each of our transcripts averaged
about $2.50 per page, with the tape from hell being a bit
more.)

transcriptionist to transcribe audio or video tapes, I
highly recommend Fresno Legal Transcription Service.
