My wife is still recovering from the > pain. I had the same thing happen to me 5 years ago. I had emergency gallbladder surgery and ended up with having the common bile duct to my liver stapled. The surgeon that performed the procedure claimed it was an accessory duct. I also had drain tubes inserted. I had two drain tubes. After the repair to the bile duct was done....the pain seems to come and go. It's not a stabbing pain but more of an ache like being punched in the stomach really hard. My doctor that I see now, monitors my liver enzymes every month. Because of the surgery I have suffered from two hernia repairs due to the weakness of the abdominal wall. I feel for you wife and have her in my prayers. Some days she may feel great and some days are just the pits that you learn to live with....
