Post: Office Location and Sign

Posted by Bob on 8/18/04
How important is the location of law office location. I
have always thought that with a profession such as law, an
office located in a prominent location such as on a main
street or a storefront would be vital to the success of a
practice trying to gain clients. These are the features
that I would consider important.
1. Location on main street, either in a stand alone
building or a block of street level buildings.
2. A professionally produced sign which can be read by an
approaching automobile at ordinary traffic speeds. The
sign could either be on a post or if in a storefront,
etched on the pane glass.
3. Some type of available parking.
I have however, talked to attorneys who are doing fine on
the upper floors of multi floored office buildings.
Although the restrictions on lawyer advertising have been
removed in many areas, it still seems to me that the
lawyer's shingle is the most important salesman.
