    Post: Toxic Tort legal representation

Posted by Claudia Tibbetts on 3/30/01

My "mold problem" will be 3 years old on the 7th of April.
For thirteen months after theinitial water entered my
condo, I repeatly sought remdiation. Finally, after no
response, I filled a lawsuit thinking it was for simple
damages in August of 1999. On April 9th my lawyer has
requested a court appearance after filing an avidavit of
    withdrawel from my case.
I had the air tested in my unit in October and the
results showed 135+ different molds. I was advised to leave
    me home.
I no sooner left my home then one of the members of my
legal team (accompanied by one of the defendents and
against my wishes and the advice of the environmental
hygienist) went into my home (without benefit of protective
garb) and tore out a wall, thus cross contaminating the
    field.
My legal team went on to advise me to drop my damage
suit, get a good real estate appraisal, and let the
defendents in to cosmetically repair my unit, while leaving
the cause of the original problem completely unaddressed.
I'm assuming the defendent's request is a guise to finish
    removing the evidance of mold.
I have refused to permit this. I am not uncooperative.
But, I am also NOT stupid. Can someone help my to find a
toxic tort lawyer in Wisconsin? Thanks.
