Post: Juvenile Traffic Ticket

Posted by CaliforniaGuy on 2/19/06

    When I was 16, I got a speeding ticket.
Because we moved before my court date, I never went to
juvenile court to get it taken care of.
I'm presently 25, and when I recently was pulled over for
a speeding ticket, they pulled up the juvenile
ticket/bench warrant for failure to appear.
They filed the case in adult court & although I paid the
fine, they are now showing 2 points on my dmv even though
the juvenile ticket is 9 years old.
Can I appeal the adult court verdit for lack of
    jurisdiction over the juvenile ticket?
I live in california & both tickets are from california.
