Post: Ticket

My son was given a ticket for entering a license premises for the purpose to obtain alcoholic beverage. Basically he enter the store and help a friend carry out the alcoholic to the car and a police officer pulled-up. My son was taken to the police station and given this ticket. They call the violation by this # 33:1-81. He is 18 years old with no prior record. Hes a good kid who is leaving for college in the fall on a scholarship and made a bad choice. My question is do I need an attorney or can I go to court and speak to the procecutor as you would with a traffic ticket? Any advise you can help me with would be much appreciated!!! Thanks Lucinda Garvey
